Can anyone recommend a good sports bra please?

I am trying to lose some weight and have started jogging but they are all over the place

I love Shock Absorber - they are the only brand that I found that gives really good support for larger breasts. They feel a bit strange at first if you're used to a compression (crop top) style bra, and I know that some women feel a bit "pointy" in them, but they do exactly what it says on the tin.

I buy mine from Marks and Spencer and find them very comfortable.

I second the shock absorber ones. I've got one that has two straps to do up across the back, and there's NOTHING moving in this baby!! I'm an E cup, by the way!

Go to a good sports shop and try a few on. There are so many out there!

blametheparents · 15/04/2009 18:43

I second M&S. I have a couple of ShockAbsorbers and a couple of M&S ones, and they are both great, but the M&S ones are cheaper.

I love shockabsorbers but if you're getting one go to TKmaxx as they're only £6 instead of the usual £25. Very worth it, millions of colours and syles to choose from too.

MrsTittleMouse · 15/04/2009 18:53

Does TKmaxx usually have the larger sizes too? I'm always over an E cup, even when not pregnant or breastfeeding.

stitchtime · 15/04/2009 18:54

shock absorber, another e cup here

salvadory · 15/04/2009 18:57

I'm only a C cup so not looking for the bigger cups but from what I can remember they usually do have larger sizes. TKMaxx is usually better if you're not a standard 'common' size. I always think the size 8 shoes in there are great so maybe it works the same with the bras. Always worth looking. Good luck.

Another vote for Shock Absorber from an E cup. Last time I went they had a range of sizes and helpfully it says on the back of the box which is the best style depending upon your cup size and chosen sport.

Shock Absorber crop top style - fab for running! Not cheap though but definitely worth it.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 17/04/2009 22:16

Deffo Shock Absorber.

If you are a C cup or larger, then avoid the fabulous looking sweatyBetty crop top bra's. They allow way too much movement.

Both came today. really pleased
