Breast-feeding tops - where can I find a few to make me look fabulous and not just mumsy?

That's it really. I've managed to find some lovely maternity clothes but nursing tops that look good seem to be harder to track down.

Any ideas?

TIA

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago.

Most people agreed that most bf tops are expensive and never very stylish! Always looks like a bf top....

Better to wear normal clothes - several layers helps.

Stretchy vest technique is a winner - buy some cheap Lycra vest tops for under your normal clothes. When you bf lift up normal top and pull down stretchy vest - so only exposing tiny area for nipple to poke out!

Also cardigans for covering up side view.

good luck!

Thanks red - so it's not just a case of "they're out there I just can't find them", they actually don't exist.

Ah well, layers it is then

I recommend the Primark "tops for bottoms" vests. They sell them in the pj bit and they come in lots of colours and are £1.50 each. They have a v neck and and are very flattering. I never bought any special tops and have breastfed 2 until 1+. I never left the house without a vest on under my top and nobody has ever seen my belly!!

I found that stretchy tops (M&S) do lots in the £15- £20 range that you can lift up ( nd then pull the vest down from the top a bit) much better than shirts/ cardis for discrete feeding.

Mamaway
Mamanana - and my French has improved immeasurably after getting loads of emails off them too.
Mummy looks fab - the name makes me yack, though.

I lived in Bravado tanks.... They look like camisoles and cover your tummy. The straps are great as they detach on the top....

Could always do with practising my French

There is hope then?

Thanks frisby and ilove

I've had lots of compliments on my bella mama tops and from people who don't realise they are bf tops

Try Paola Maria and Mayreau on here here

However I am now sick of them (see other thread and want to wear normal stuff but that is another story)
