Drastic change of hair colour - will DS still recognise me?

Hi. My hair is a honey blonde at the moment with blonde highlights on top so pretty blonde looking. I want to go red (like a dark copper), but didn't want to change it until September (for our holiday) - DS will be 9 months by then and am worried that he might not recognise me. Should I change my hair colour sooner to get around this or might it not matter? I saw an awful thing on this morning when a mum got a makeover - change of hair colour - and her 10 month old didn't recognise her. There were lots of tears. Thanks.

He might not straight away but as soon as you start talking he will, even if he bursts into tears at first he will get over it very quickly.

I shaved all my hair off once and my neice (who I saw every day) was 12 months at he time and she burst into tears but 10 mintes later was giggling and rubbing my head.

CHildren are funny things, they don't recognise ppl who take their glasses off or wear sunglasses for a few mins either. It will be fine after a little while.

I've changed my hair loads since I had dcs, it goes from mouse to copper on a regular basis and never causes any problems. The last time I did it, ds2 said "I like your orange hair mummy".
