Knickers that go over nappies?

I want to get DD1 out of popper-style vests this summer with a view to having a bash at potty training. I've bought a load of skirts, but if she doesn't take to proper knickers yet, can you get baggy elasticated knickers to go over nappies? I've seen them as part if a set with a dress, but not on their own.

I got some a couple of years ago in Matalan.

Possibly not the most useful answer, but my Dad bought my son (2 years) a pack of pants from H&M, which said on the package about being 'to go over nappies'. We didn't need them to do such - only difference is they are real 'bellywarmers ' on him!
I digress - if they do 'em for boys, I'd guess they'd have some girly ones too.

How old/big is your dd? I only ask as I have 6 which you could have ffp. They're by adams, age 1-1.5, but baggy.

Boots used to do some nice ones, with a tiny little frill. DD used to wear real nappies so they had to be stretchy to fit over the bulky bot!

Ooh! Lots of helpful replies!

Ready4 - thank you so much for the offer, but I have written a lot of personal stuff on here, so I can't give out my address. Otherwise I would love to have them!

tesco sell little white over the nappy pants, they're in the baby gro section.

M&S has packs of three, white, pale pink, slightly less pale pink, with frills on the bum - had the same search a month or so ago because we seem to have several nice little cotton dresses that don't really suit having a popper vest underneath but DD (17 months) is not terribly good at not flashing whatever she is wearing under there!

I am trying to find knickers that go over nappies (for 8 month old girl). M&S have them on their website but they are no longer available. We just want plain ones (a little frill is ok but not the big christening robe type!). Any one able to help - am going mad looking for these (have tried H&M and Tesco as suggested)?

I've just looked on eBay and there are quite a lot there (i just used nappy knickers as my search term). If you don't want to use eBay it gives you brands to look at if nothing else.

Just found some on La Redoute website - brilliant!

MrsRogerSterling · 07/08/2012 11:58

H&M, we got pink and spotty ones from there.

I got a barely used set off eBay! They have been quite handy for the few fine days we have had this summer, even just romping around the garden with a T Shirt on as DD is very slim and I cant find shorts or skirts that look right on her just yet, I'm hoping the the 9-12mth stuff will fit soon... she is 15mths LOL
