Spring clothes help please

I am looking for two things and failing dismally. Could any of you lovely people please help me to find:
a) a Spring coat - single breasted, mid thigh in a bright colour?
b) some leather ballet flats in purple, pink or silver, with a Mary Jane strap?

Thank you! I don't shop in Primark or Peacocks, I am only 5'2 and budget is pretty miniscule.

Thanks!

Non? Where are all the non-DrWho-watching-fashion-folk then?!

Here! Not a Doctor fan! Where have you already looked, and when you say budget is small, how much are you looking to pay for each item?

Shoes - up to about 30 pounds.

Coat - no more than 50 if at all possible.

Have looked in H&M - rubbish; M&S - they had quite a cute apple green one but even the size 10 was huge on me and they didn't have an 8; Gap - nothing. For shoes have looked in Clarks and New Look so far.

Try Top Shop for shoes and Dorothy Perkins for the coat - they always have a bright colour palette.

Have you looked on shopstyle.co.uk?

janeite · 11/04/2009 19:57

Sorry - I did look in Dotty P's - nowt in there!

this comes in size 8 £45 and this one loads really

janeite · 11/04/2009 20:44

Thanks. The first on is v similar to the one I tried on and sort of what I'm looking for, though would prefer a lower neck. Need to be able to try it in store really, as in M&S I can be anything from a size 8 to a size 14 - tis weird.

Should have said - I am very short waisted so can't do belts!

Ooohhh, very excited! I think I've found a lovely coat on ASOS - bright coral / red, single breasted, with an unusual bow detail on the back - reduced from £65 to £45!! Take a look and let me know what you think. They also have some leather ballet flats in a light purple (well, more like lilac), however they don't have a mary jane type strap - just normal ballet flats - they are in the clearance section too.

janeite · 11/04/2009 21:30

Thanks Tiger. really need to be able to try on in-store though, rather than ordering on t'internet.

Schuh are quite good for brightly coloured pumps and mary-janes.

here

Tigerbear · 11/04/2009 21:41

I think you can return things for free though on ASOS. Check out the Office website for shoes - just saw some very cute flat mary janes - they're bright pink with a black bow - reduced to £15 - I know not quite what you were after, but cute all the same!

janeite · 11/04/2009 23:51

Ooh - had forgotten about Office. Thank you!

hang on I'll find them

purple but looks like blue

black patent

black leather

janeite · 12/04/2009 13:19

Thanks. Too much money though! No point me paying a lot for shoes as I only wear them to get from A to B then take them off as soon as I can get away with it!

hehe- Janeite- I was going to suggets the green M&S one.... bah!

janeite · 13/04/2009 11:10

Yes the green one would have been great if it wasn't as huge - and if it was purple! It's really cute but for somebody who usually waers black, the green is quite scary!
