I did something very grown up yesterday

Had bought a pair of shoes from Faith, complete with 25% Grazia discount.

Pink, high heels - ticking all of my usual (frivolous) boxes

But, alas, they're just not that practical for this summer when I am going to be a) pregnant and b)chasing after dd, 2 and ds, 1

Once upon a time, I would've kept them anyway. Maybe even had a stab at wearing them.

But no. I took them back. And didn't even buy/ exchange for any of their overpriced gladiators while in store.

Praise, please...

very well done
that is very grown up

I still have a pair of shoes that I've hardly worn and probably wont because I cant walk in them and chase gecko

but one day I will!!!!!!
and I never buy shoes costing more than £15 so I dont feel like I should take them back

ooops sorry

bumpybecky · 09/04/2009 10:08

oooh they're so pretty!

well done for being so grown up!

TrillianEAstraEgg · 09/04/2009 10:09

Definitely sensible to take them back.

I think I was too grownup in my shoe purchases when I was younger.

mrsmaidamess · 09/04/2009 10:11

You should have kept them. They are lovely. I guarantee you will be invited somewhere and despair you have no nice shoes to wear and then.......doh!!

(But on the plus side, Primark sell almost exact replicas, if you did want to cheat)

LetThemEatCake · 09/04/2009 10:12

but that's the thing - I have soooo many shoes. In fact, I was thinking about starting a "how many pairs of shoes do you own?" thread

I might do that.
