70's/80's night.what to wear?

ive got lovely 60's stuff but need 70's /80's fancy dress.what shall i wear?

For 70's - could go for the hippy look. Or if you're slim, you could look fab in flared jeans, strappy sandals, a vest top, hair clipped up at one side and flicked with curling tongs. Possibly accessorised with a smiley face badge and some heart-shaped sunglasses.

For 80's, how about the Madonna look? Curled/backcombed hair with a scarf tied in a bow, shortish flared skirt with leggings underneath, loads of long beads/crosses and a lacy top?

80's stuff - there's loads in the shops at the moment, agree with dearprudence on the madonna thing - friend of mine went as madonna to a party, looked fab. There are those fluorecent (sp) net tutu's in shops, with leggings, legwarmers, lace gloves, and all the accessories that dearprudence mentions

The maddonna look!! Had forgotten that was then Spent most of my teens in dodgy lacey leggings!
