My hairdresser used GHD's on my hair and i LOVED the result!! Wish id bought some sooner! Ive looked on ebay (only at new ones) and them seem cheaper than the shops but ive noticed there are loads of diff models! I have long hair so i know i dont want the skinny ones, MK$? PURE?

DON'T get from ebay. The fakes are soooo sooo good.

My mate got some, they were in PERFECT GHD box, instructions, DVD everything ... they broke and she sent to GHD for repairs and they were fake!

Go to Toni and Guy or somewhere, honestly, the fakes these days are unbelieveable.

Ive got the hot pink ones, my sister has the purple with flowers and other 2 sisters and mum have black.

I love them soooo much!

had GHDs, they broke, got the remington ones, which are just as good and half the price

have just bought these have had them for 3 hairwashes so far and LOVE them.

Disenchantegg3 · 05/04/2009 21:21

I had my lack ones 2 years, then gave to sister, my baby pink 3 years, gave to other sister and had my hot pink ones 2 years now. Never had a problem with any.

NO straightemers are as good.

Don't get cheaper, you will regret it

Disenchantegg3 · 05/04/2009 21:21

You are making me want new ones!

mad4myboys · 05/04/2009 21:31

i have always had cheap ones and been happy with them. Until yesterday!!! I never pay to get my hair dryed/straightened etc as always hate it and have never used ghds but OMG!! My hair was about another foot longer, felt great, AND it remained straight despite it being really windy AND have slept and woke up today still straight! I keep going to my DH oooh look at my ghd hair. Although he tells me i look abif footballers wife

bythepower, there are so many diff types on there aswell! What are the differences (dont have time to look just now) apart from the colours??

you only need the black ones unless you love the coloured ones,, apart from the colours they are all the same i think...

I ahd some and they broke after 4 years someone convinced me to get babyliss ones which are good. but spent the week with my friend last week and used her GHD's and i have to say nothing compares, my hair is def more straight and sleek with them and the straightness def last longer... i am going to order some GHD's this week

not sure whether to go for the wide ones or the normal size ones

smugmumofboys · 05/04/2009 21:56

I had a similar thread recently. I ended up with the thin ones and I bought them from th ghd website.

They are great but my hair is soooo thick that I still can't get it uber sleek . I think it's also the too hot blow dry at the salon which does the trick.

cheekysealion · 06/04/2009 15:06

have you tried the super skinny hair range from paul mitchell? i use the super skinny serum and love it. bit more pricey then the average ones but it lasts for ages

bubblagirl · 06/04/2009 15:28

ive got kodo straighteners same heat as ghd not as much money but result is perfect my hairdressers use them not much difference in result at all and looks real nice when i do it from home also think it helps to have a good serum for after as well
