What does a heavily pg woman wear to an evening wedding reception with ceilidh?

We will be going to the service and then back home to wait for the evening do. Do I change outfits and if so, into what kind of thing?

Being neither stylish nor beautiful, I don't really belong in this topic. My current maternity dresses are all charity shop tea dresses or one tightish black one from Dorothy Perkins. Will be induced 2 days later and probably won't do it again so don't want to spend a fortune.

I wouldn't get changed in between but just wear something that you can keep on all day.

Will you be dancing at all at the ceilidh? If so, wear something that will keep you cool. I always end up boiling hot at ceilidhs.

Maybe wear a sleeveless dress but dress it up during the day with a wrap or pashmina?

What are the dresses like that you have, colour, style etc? Do any of them seem ok for a wedding and would you feel most comfortable in? Remember you can dress them up or co-ordinate with nice jewellery, shoes, handbag etc and they will last you after the baby is here. Xmas Grin

Oh that should have been

Thanks HolyGuacamole

I've got a brown dress with orange pattern, one with blue checks, one with rather hideous pink flowers on and a (very nice but unfortunately wrong colour for a wedding) black dress with red flowers.

I've also got a purple velvet evening dress and a black velvet crushed evening tent but I'm guessing they'd be too hot.

I don't think I can manage nice shoes, or dancing - am fairly hippolike

Oh I'm one of those people who thinks black is fine for a wedding but I know loads of people don't. What about the black and red dress with comfy black shoes and a red pashmina, black bag with a red flower or corsage pinned on it and red and black jewellery?

Or if you defo don't want to wear black, then what about the brown and orange but have orange accessories instead? Maybe Like this or this or even this?

Sorry for delay in replying. Those accessories are fab, especially the orange ones thank you.
