Supportive tankini?! Please help

So I'm going on my jollies in 7 weeks and I can't find a decent tankini.
Have worked hard to lose weight and want to look nice half-decent running around after my DS on the beach!
Have tried on loads but many are too short or really thin material! (Not a good look on my mummy tummy!)
I'm a size 12/14, bust size 36c.
Any help would be so gratefully recieved.
Thanks

Hi how about this www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/swimwear/10/11

HappyHome · 03/04/2009 12:19

Oops just looked and it starts at a D cup, sorry I'll try again

I want one as well so will be watching with interest. I found one on Figleaves which fitted fine but went saggy when wet- not a good look!

giantkatestacks · 03/04/2009 12:25

I found a really cheap one in primark yesterday - black with support for the tummy in the top and bottoms (and it had shorts which is what I wanted...)

Thanks for trying Happyhome, think next might be worth a look and will check out primark gks. Just can't seem to find one that doesnt have a gap between top and bottoms.Wouldnt be so bad if I looked like the model from the 'next' link! But I most definitely dont! Shame.
Thanks again

my primark one doesnt have a gap ..best around imo

traceybath · 05/04/2009 19:34

Are you really sure you want a tankini.

I had one last year as was 5 months post-birth and do you know it was hugely unflattering. A bikini would have looked a lot better or even a one-piece.

whyme2 · 05/04/2009 19:37

There were some really good tankinis in TK Maxx. I bought two for £14. Both with good support. They had loads of different ones.

Tankinis are awful, really hideous.

All of them.

Get a bikini or a decent swimsuit if you need coverage.

CMOTdibbler · 13/04/2009 21:15

Lands End do nice tankinis, with a good mix and match of bottoms - which do cover your tum. I swear by them, and rather like this one

Personally, I would never ever wear a bikini, and think tankinis are more holiday wear than a one piece, plus I really like shorts with them as more coverage when chasing a toddler

bettyboo26 · 14/04/2009 00:17

CMOTd, perfect. Thanks for that. Think I mite order it in red.
So opinions please- tankini or swim suit?
What is more flattering? My bikini days are long gone!

I prefer Tanktinis, but then I like the short style bottoms. wouldn't do a bikini if you paid me...

mummc2 · 14/04/2009 10:58

i prefer tankinis and get them all from bravissimo but they do start from a D. Fantastic support but not cheap.
