Hi, I love the look of the I love gorgeous dresses and would like to order one for my daughter. She is 4 but very tall. She wears a 6 in monsoon, sarah louise, little darlings etc.
This dress says age 8 (I found it on e-bay) But is that going to be too big? It says 75cm which is about the middle of her calf. They are ment to be worn at just under knee length (from the picture).
Has anyone had any dresses of this make for there daughters, and could anyone let me know if they come up small.
Thanks.

I bought that last one you linked to for my dd. You have great taste, their dresses are lovely {wink]

She just turned 5 at the weekend, but she's tall, so I got her the 6-7, which is about mid calf length.

Go and buy that dress quickly, before someone else does (me!)

Thanks, it's not the same dress, but it's the same style. it's cream with a tiny pink flower print. I think it's going to be huge then if your daughter is a tall 5 year old and wears a 6-7.
Oh well, she could wear it next year, or the year after. I'd better have a look to see if I've won it, or did you beet me too it.

Don't worry, I've banned myself from buying any more dresses, for me or dd, but I think it's a great buy, really cheap for that brand.

Please go and buy it, she'll grow into it

Which colour did you get it in? does it look lovely on?

I've asked my brother in law to get it for me as he's a member of e-bay.
I can't wait to try it on her. I'm wondering if it can be taken in at the back as it'd probubly be o.k as a long dress but it'd be too wide.

It is very pale peachy pink and sooo pretty!

That dress has a smocked bodice so it will probably be fine on, of you could make a couple of tucks at the back.

I bet she'll be gorgeous in it

mummyloveslucy · 03/04/2009 17:10

Thank you, I loved the look of the peach one but thought it was more dusky pink in the picture. I didn't know how peach would look with her colouring. She has long aubern hair and creamy skin with a few freckles.
I think I'd be safer with cream.
Mind you red looks fab on her.

On e-bay, the dress that I'm having is an age 8 and 75cm long, but I've looked up a different I love gorgeous dress in an age 6 which is 79cm long.
Maybe the age 6 dress is supposed to be a longer length dress.

Someone bought it - I hope it was you!

mummyloveslucy · 04/04/2009 19:52

Yes it was. I'm looking forward to trying it on her.
Thanks for all your help.
