Daily Mail alert

Ok, some of the dresses aren't great but it's the fascinators, bows, flowers and feathery hats that really spoil the overall look.

Last week I was in Holland Park and some of the Peacocks didn't have tails. I assumed they were young peacocks. Hmm.

TheCrackFox · 02/04/2009 21:46

I think that article is really mean. None of them are celebrities and don't deserve to be papped and slagged off in the fucking Daily Mail. They think they look nice and that is all that matters.

Mumsnet has been a real bitch fest tonight and I am not impressed.

giddykipper · 02/04/2009 21:51

I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware that I had said anything bitchy.

Oh Thank goodness - i thought you were going to start nagging me to do something about my feet before I had to wear sandals....

Isn't that reminder due soon -

Blardy Dail mail - isn't safe to go anywhere without being photographed and then ridiculed.

Arses... they could have printed pictures of women smiling.

Aw scousers bless em. There are a law unto themselves when it comes to dress sense

369thegoosedrankwine · 03/04/2009 07:47

It's a horrible article and a very small snapshot of what is a fantastic event with fantastic outfits. Ok, some poor choices of outfits on those pictures but is there really any need to put them in the paper and mock them?

I am very passionate about the Aintree race meeting. I will be going tomorrow and I know that I will see some lovely outfits and I will have a brilliant day.

There is almost a sneery attitude towards the Aintree meeting that is epitomised in PP's 'scousers bless em' comment. I am from Liverpool PP and that is quite a generalisation you have made there .

Anyhow, I'm off to have a great day tomorrow.

Obviously struggling to fill pages what with nothing major happening around the world at the moment

bleh · 03/04/2009 09:49

Stupid DM. They all look like they were having a great time. Is this what it's going to be like now? Fine, poke fun at celebrities, I can kind of deal with that to some extent as they choose to be in the public eye, but random members of the public. Are we all going to end up terrified of going outside for fear of being papped by the DM and have them criticise us. It makes me really .

kellise · 03/04/2009 09:55

I think some of those ladies look really nice actually! and the ones that arent my cup of tea well it wouldnt do for us all to have the same sense of style & just cos I wouldnt be seen in said garments (not going to point out which ones in case they are mner & I get knee capped!!) well doesnt make it that they can't dress like that iykwim
