I'm not sure

What's the interview for?

tiggerlovestobounce · 01/04/2009 10:42

I agree, it would depend on the role applied for.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 10:43

It's a very smart, city thing. I'm worried it's too severe.

tiggerlovestobounce · 01/04/2009 10:44

I agree it wouldnt be suitable for a city job.

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 10:45

That's a real shame. I ordered it this morning, and I'm a bit at a loss as to wear I can wear it now.

OP posts:
KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 10:45

where I can wear it, obviously.

Oh, now that's an idea.

But what kind of shoes would work with that?

OP posts:
KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 10:49

TheProfiteroleThief, actually, you're right.

But I'm still unsure about shoes.

OP posts:
KingRoloEgg · 01/04/2009 10:51

this?

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunchie · 01/04/2009 10:51

I think these would look really stunning

TigerFeet · 01/04/2009 10:52

Is that the actual hat? Or will you be getting a larger version? It might look a bit daft just perched on top of your head. A full sized one might give a better impression.

Of course, the hat may well be the right size for an adult human, and you just have an incredibly large pussy.

chimchar · 01/04/2009 10:53

kay. i wouldn't wear it....the style is great, but the colours are a bit too sort of ......ummm.....muted.

hth.

MmeLindt · 01/04/2009 10:54

I agree with ProfiteroleThief. You will definitely stand out amongst the other applicants wearing that. I do think that you will have to think carefully about shoes and a bag though. these would be good, I think and I love the detail on this bag

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunchie · 01/04/2009 10:56

It think Mmelindt's bag is a bit too ostentatious. Perhaps something a bit more muted, like this to really keep the focus on the hat?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 10:58

Cripes, I hadn't even though about a bag! You're all marvellous

lumpsdumps · 01/04/2009 12:13

I guess if you were gonna be a fat cat at a bank!

OrmIrian · 01/04/2009 12:23

I think it gives a suggestion or ruthlessness with a soft edge. Is that what you want to convey.

BTW I'd recommend a shave.

naomi83 · 01/04/2009 13:29

did you mean to post a pic of your cat?

BitOfFunnyBunny · 01/04/2009 13:47

I think that this lady has put the ensemble together just right - is it the kind of tone you're looking for?

KayHarkerIsPlayingWithMitchell · 01/04/2009 14:10

Superb, BoF

missblythe · 01/04/2009 15:25

I think you need to be careful, you don't wnat to look too 'costume-party', or they might think you are not taking the job interview seriously.

Rather than going all-out Saxon, would you consider a patent Mary Jane shoe, perhaps with a fishnet tight that tones with the hat-horns?

Ronaldinhio · 01/04/2009 15:45

good for the city today given the g20
