Hmm, have no idea how old you are - but if you wanted to try out that style before you invest seriously, New Look has a very similar pair. Didn't check the price but it's bound to be lots less!

They are lovely and age is irrelevant, it's more about how thin you are and you really need decent pins with good ankles.

A tan and a good pedicure and they will look beautiful!

Don't think it has anything to do with age - so no you won;t look a fool (unless you're 70ish with hugely winkled ankles )

However I do think you need good legs and right sort of outfit.
