Ok, I know you all love this kind of thing...help me find a capsule wardrobe

So, I have (or will have) a bit of money which is to be used for frivolities. I got some money for my birthday, and should be getting a bit of money from DH's settlement from his wanky ex-employees. I haven't decided what I am going to spend it on, and in reality I will probably end up buying lots of little things, but I've always wanted to do that thing where you just ruthlessly cull your wardrobe and start afresh with lovely things that all match, a capsule wardrobe ideally. So ladies, you have about £500 to spend (ok, it's not loads, but it's a start), inspire me with your taste and internet shopping abilities.

About me:

I am 5ft2, pear shaped, my best feature is my waist (which after DD is what it used to be), I have child bearing hip! I am about a size 12, and I've just been measured as a 32DD (which isn't as big as it sounds, but is a huge shock as I have been wearing a 34c nursing bra for the last year and DD isn't even nursing any more!).

I have shoulder length mid brown hair, brown eyes, so my colouring is very medium, I suit muted warm colours rather than brighter colours (this is all according to the Colour Me Beautiful book I've been reading ).

My style is probably smart casual. I'm not a sport wear wearing type person. I wear jeans, but would love to branch out from them. My work dress code is smart casual, so I wear mostly what I would wear at home, just a little smarter. I'm crap at accessorising, but do love chunky jewellery and scarves and things. I like quite classic styles, though I can carry off more quirky, high fashion looks too. Oh, and I'm 28 as of last Saturday.

Style me!

here I am.

Right, capsule wardrobe, to my way of thinking, should include the following:

white shirt
cashmere cardi - long line always good
cigarette pants or bootleg light wool trews
black pencil skirt
something ruffly and frothily feminine (blouse/ top probably - not down the front as will make your boobs bigger, but maybe around the neck/ arms)
amazing jeans (so fabulous that they can be worn for evening)
a dress - probably silk jersey, might be most flattering from what you have said about your shape?
fitted blazer/ tux jacket
a handful of long and short sleeve tees in plain colours and stripes

killer heels
ballet flats

tell me how this sounds to you for starters and if you like, I'll start looking!!

Sounds ideal!

Except for the cigarette pants, I fear my hips may be too wide. I could also do with some lovely tops, like vests but not the horrible crappy ones I have from Primark.

fantastico.

Got a deadline tonight but looking in earnest starting tomorrow.

Get ready to say goodbye to that £500!! I am very good at spending...
