a little too foofy for my liking but you are tiny and slim so will be able to carry it off - but agree with Lauriefairy, would you not rather look for something more summery?

I like it, you can bring it bring it to a new level trendwise if you team it with a
yellow hairband, a yellow clutch bag and heels. There are a some nice ones's about but pricey unless you try new look, matalan etc. Gold would work too. Monochrome is in this year as ever anyway, that's why there are so many balck and white proms styles around. Gold or silver accessories or red would work too.

lovely links from Lauriefairy, avoid purple, if you can because it's been done so much already as an accent colour and there are lots of lovely purple dresses out there now anyway, someone is bound to be wearing it.
