Hair help

I am slightly fed up with my hair. I love the colour and length but it is really thick and dead straight. I usually stick it in a bun or in a ponytail. It's just below my shoulders.

I really want some tips on doing something else with it. When I curl it the front and sides look good but I can't do the back. Also I'd love to be able to put it in a plait but I just can't do it. So any tips on how to do it yourself.

Thanks

Mines much the same as you described, have you tried rollers, I use heated ones for a more dramatic effect & they are really easy to use, also velcro ones are good on freashly washed dries hair I just pop them in & leave them in while I do my make up then take them out & makes my hair full of body & bounce plus its easy to pin up then also.
Have no tips on plaits though Im afraid, don't really plait mine as its so thick it look silly - I guess its just pratice.
Not sure if Ive been very helpful here

get some layers, it will frame your face and give your hair some movement

I have layers and TBH they annoy me as they just will not stay in the ponytail.

I haven't used rollers but I'll give them a go.
