where are you going? what type of event? What do you want to say with your outfit?

thumbwitch · 25/03/2009 23:00

Nice dress!
What's too high?
are these too high?

frumpygrumpy · 25/03/2009 23:04

not sure, depends on where you are going, these??

frumpygrumpy · 25/03/2009 23:05

I'd go for a colour.....

Amandoh · 25/03/2009 23:22

Do you want black or coloured?

The stems of the flowers look like a pinky purple colour so what about these from New Look? I know the heel looks high but the platform means it doesn't feel so high once on.

Another purple pair but with a lower heel. Purple again with an almost kitten heel and reduced from
£65.00 to £25.00.

Red at Roland Cartier.

The event is a wedding, it's oop north on a farm and we've been advised to bring wellies. Some of it will be indoors I think.

I don't mind black or coloured. Too high would be more than 2 inches I recon, though I am not great on heels TBH.

I son't do anything with straps really, specially not sandal type things. Thought the monsoon ones are ok.

Amandoh I like those maybe a bit purple? The flowers are very red.

the purple shoe studio ones are bloomin' gorgeous!

would red be too much?

I don't think red would be too much. I'd just be careful to keep the red of the shoes as close a match as possible to the red in the dress. Because there is such a small amount of purple in the dress I didn't think it would matter as much if the shades weren't exact.

Forgot to say earlier... Dress is gorgeous!

beanieb · 25/03/2009 23:53

thank you - I wanted it desperately. Am thinking maybe I should play safe and get black shoes.

i think purple and red is a bit of an odd colour combo. If you are on a farm, ANY sort of heel is not going to work, esp kitten heel. I would advise wedges which give you height and stability and are a good compromise if you are not particularly good with heels. Peeptoe wedges can look slim (i know people think of wedges as clunky) and also eliminate your strap problem. if you dont go for wedges, peeptoe heels would be great to slip into...Check these out...

and then some cool printed wellies for outdoors. This site has a good range www.easy-wellies.co.uk/funky-wellies-c-3.html

Sounds like its going to be lovely! I think maybe flowers on the shoes as well as the dress is too many flowers? i would opt for a simple shoe in a strong colour (red is ok). Good luck!

beanieb · 26/03/2009 00:00

woah - those asos are high

TeamStyle · 26/03/2009 00:10
