80's Fancy Dress - I need your help!

I was born in the late 80s so can't actually remember what people wore - apart from some hideous specs and suits that my Mum wore.

Tonight, I need to find an outfit for Friday, need to either buy online for very fast delivery or be available on the high street (I work in the West End so can get to most shops however!).

I am 5ft6, size 14, big boobs, like my legs and don't want to spend a fortune

Primark would be my first port of call - anything neon/punk-y, maybe ra-ra skirt. Apparantly River Island has some good stuff in and try Claire's Accesories for neon pink plastic earing/bangles.

Make-up should be bold and colourful - blue eyeshadow, frosted pink lipstick and pink blusher in one straight line along your cheek.

You could go with an lbd and red lipstick to be one of Robert Palmer's backing singers.

Otherwise black leggings and a hge white t-shirt on which you have written something like "Choose life" or "Relax".

Or black leggings with a mini over, black lacy gloves and loads of pearls, chains, crucifixes etc to be early Madonna.

Would love to go to primark but I am not sure I can face the Oxford St one at lunchtime!

For Madonna type thing - probably a ruffly black top or maybe even a corset, possibly with a suit-type jacket over it but worn loose with the sleeves rolled up. Mad hair with a big bow on top.

Could something like this work? Over leggings?

You could always do sportswear - tiny shiny shorts over trackie bottoms (or not, if you like your legs), legwarmers, vest, sweatbands on wrist and head. Grey trackies/vest with pink accessories.

Claire's Accessories - loads of stuff.

You can do punky like Toyah (fishnets, mini, spiky hair in pony tails all over, with coloured extensions in)

Or lace, short flared skirt, leather jacket, scarf round head and fingerless gloves a la Madonna.

Ra-ra skirt, footless tights, off the shoulder top like Bananarama.

Or go fairly ordinary, bloke's suit, but major hairstyling like the girls from Human League.

Electric blue mascara and eyeliner. Stripey blusher. Frosted pink lipstick.

Ooooh, so many choices!
