Summer wardrobe ideas for reluctant fattie

I really am a size 10 person with lots of nice size 10 summer clothes, but somehow a miserable winter, lots of stress and not getting back on my diet right after Christmas has left me facing spring, at least, as a size 14. Now I can struggle into a good selection of my winter clothes but am dreading the first really warm week when I have almost nothing to wear that fits. I'm 5'3" broad shouldered and moderate of nork, and a bit short legged ( but on the whole I don't usually look too bad) What I want is a very cheap capsule wardrobe to wear until I can fit in my usual stuff again - maybe black linen trousers, a dress or two, that sort of stuff. I work in an office running a care service so nothing too short or over trendy. I will give it away once I'm a bit thinner so it only has to look OK for a shor t while.

I have a similar problem - so depressing when your summer clothes don't fit!

I'm a similar size to you, and my favourite items have to be loose linen trousers (mine are from Next via Oxfam!) and a couple of knee-length shirt dresses/wrap dresses that can be dressed up/down/with leggings/tights/whatever - La Redoute usually have some good ones.

Same problem here. Normally a size 10/12 but now 12/14. I will lose the weight and get back into my Summer clothes but I have bought a few bits and pieces until I do lose that half a stone.

I bought a pair of black linen trousers from Evans in a size 14 as the back is elasticated so I figured it would still fit when I got back to normal. Also bought a white pair from M&S again in a 14 but as they have a belt (and M&S linen shrinks lots) I should still be able to wear them sans extra wobbles.

Also bought some longish t-shirts in M&S. This one in navy and a few others in various colours. I bought a size 14 in the hope that a boil wash will shrink them when the weight's off.
