and not to a child - I'm currently using dd1's old (yes even my daughter has upgraded) GAP rucksack

Please help - I can't see any rucksacks anywhere!

Budget - around £50 for preference.

my fav

not a rucksack but can wear as a messenger. Mine is just big enough to get either laptop or a4 files in but not both. Plus minimal other stuff. Was a present about 7 years ago - still love it. Still looks stylish (well to my eyes )

cycle chic should have something to suit you

gigglewitch · 24/03/2009 20:14

mine came from pc world - a targus one ...like this but I paid 50 quid for mine
I find it quite heavy when it's full though.

I have this pannier, though in a different colour which I can't find online. Anyway, it's tres chic!

mistlethrush · 24/03/2009 20:32

The Edinborough Cycle shop do some quite good pannier style ones that can be turned into smart lap-top style bags with a simple zip...

Northernlurker · 24/03/2009 22:10

Wow those are fab panniers ladies...but I don't think I can really do a pannier too because I have dd's bike seat on the back and I don't think there's room. Definately don't want front mounted panniers - with dd on the back, that on the front and me in the middle - I'll fall off!

Hadn't though of amazon though - or pc world type places so will look there - many thanks to all

handlebar bag or smart rucksack takes 15" laptop

MissGreatBritain · 27/03/2009 21:48

I have a very stylish, very professinal friend who always uses a soft black leather rucksack. Looks classy and is very practical. Will try to find similar one and link for you....

Hogiabach · 28/03/2009 07:36

I have this one here it's great. Only cost me £20 and has so many compartments including laptop....

monkeysmama · 28/03/2009 13:53

Have you had a look at the knomo website? I have had 3 of their bags and they last ages (they should because they are not cheap) but they look great, are smart but not boring and are very pratical with all useful compartments and stuff inside.
