Would you bother buying a coat with 3/4 length sleeves?

Its a lightweight summer trench coat style - perfect in every way but has 3/4 length sleeves - would be buying it online so no chance of trying it on first. Can't decide if style should win over practicality! Would I spend the whole summer scrunching up any long sleeve top I happened to be wearing so sleeves dont show beneath coat????

NO NO NO! I'm fed up with freezing because so many things have 3/4 length sleeves, why would you want a coat (essentially a garment to keep you warm) with 3/4 length sleeves??

I agree I have a winter coat which looked good with long length leather gloves but was/is a pain in the ass.

didn't realise the maternity jumper I bought had 3/4 length sleeves (how?!) and I HATE it: when you want a coat/jumper you want to be warm and dry!

FigmentOfYourImagination · 24/03/2009 15:42

No, it'd wind me up.

I've got a lightweight spring jacket with 3/4 sleevs and love it!
If its a bit chilly for bare arms I just wear a long sleeve top so my arms are covered when out!

So you can wear long sleeved layered garments underneath. fashionable, practical and comfortable.

I have three quarter length arms, so yes!

BikeRunSki · 25/03/2009 16:27

I don't get three-quarter sleeved coats.
Or short sleeves on thick wooly things.
But I am deeply uncool.
