Dress over leggings, am I too old and if not, what shoes to wear?

Hi

Really would appreciate some advice!

It was my birthday last week and I have £225 to spend on myself. I saw this in Warehouse yesterday and thought it would be nice in Spring over leggings. Anyone agree?

I am now 36 , too old to wear leggings? And if not, what style shoes would you wear? Have 2yo DS so nothing too high!

Thanks

Its lovely!
I'd wear that with leggings (at 32!)
maye with ballet pumps? or sandals/wedges when warmer?

Gorgeous dress!

Is it as short on you (presuming you tried it on) as it is on the model? Just wondering why you want to wear leggings with it.

I'm 35 and would happily wear leggings under a dress. I agree with EdwardBear and would go with ballet flats.

I think leggings would spoil that lovely dress

footless opaque tights in plum colour and stacked heels or wedges would go well I think

come summer (if we get one), just omit the tights and add sandals, flat ones, gladiator stylee

I'm quite tall so short dresses always feel really short on me (IYSWIM!)

Thanks for suggestions, it is lovely!

sorry to disagree but i am 35 and consider myself too old for leggings. bought lovely dress at weekend and salesgirl was wearing with leggings but was about 10 years younger than me.

i wore with opaque tights and t bar shoes and will switch to wedges and bare legs when sun comes out!

I'm 34 and wear leggings with a dress. I hope i'm not too old .. I feel soooooo young

I think leggings with dress is fine for anyone on 30-40's.

I do think if you're not long legged you need to wear boots though to avoid the leggings making your legs look like stumps.

it's a lovely dress, but i wouldn't wear it with leggings (but i would wear it with biker boots so you may choose to ignore my advice ). are you booby? i tried it on and was v disappointed that it was impossibly gapey at the top (but i don't have much to fill it). it wasn't as short on me (5'6") as it looks on the model, just above knee.

i wear dresses/leggings all the time (and have done for last 10 years ), but only with more casual/shorter/tunic style dresses, that one's a bit sophisticated i reckon.
