Walking sandals that look good?

My sis is off to Thailand in a few weeks. She's not planning to do any serious walking, but wants a pair of sandals that will be comfortable all day and not blister her.

But she's a style queen and needs them to look good (doesn't usually do sensible).

Any thoughts, O Wise Ones of Style? TIA

sorry, that is a contradiction in terms

Birkenstocks only acceptable

I have spent my entire adult life searching for these same sandals. They do not exist. Why can't anyone design a comfortable sandal that is not a granny style?

Well, they might not be quite stylish enough for her but I love Keens

Extraordinarily comfortable and lots of colours and diff styles.

Well I do a lot of walking but refuse to wear ugly sandals. I have a collection of Prada sandals (most years they do one or two styles with block heels around 1 1/2 " high), LK Bennet medium wedges, the occassional Kurt Geiger pair of sandals and ballet flats. I generaly walk at least 5 miles a day in the city and can manage happily in those.

Some Birkenstock alternatives!
