Does anyone else have to trim their eyebrows?

Moons ago I plucked all of my eyebrows out and drew them in (fashionable in the '70's) . My eyebrows never really grew back properly and for most of my life I have more or less hidden them behind a fringe. As I am getting older now, I would like to have a bit more face but my eyebrows leave a lot to be desired. The hairs themselves are very long and course and sparce, so I pencil in delicately and then hold their shape with clear mascara. It's a good method but I often feel like getting the scissors on the lengthy ones (but then I'd be left with no actual brow length) Ugh... I spend more time on them that the rest of my face... Can anyone suggest anything? Don't say tatoo them... (I think that looks so unnatural and always a bit blueish)

I always trim my eyebrows. From years of reading vogue it seems most make up artists do it, and I pluck above the eyebrow line. I'd look like a werewolf if I didn't.

kally you are talking to a beauty therapist here.....i would if you can get them dyed, this will define the brow and even enhance all the ones you cant see and you will be surprised to see them looking thicker than before. Next tidy up under the brow, the ones which really dont fit into the ideal brow shape. Only trim the brow once all this is done, brush the brow hairs up towards your hair and cut, however still keep a bit of lengh in order the comb them over to give you some brows!!!!

Can't I dye them myself? Is there special dye for brows? I am steady handed and would know exactly how to 'line' them the way I like (can imagine me coming out of stylist looking like a surprised clown)

you can do them yourself but its risky, you must to a patch test 24 hours before.......also if you do dye them yourself you cant get the tint on your skin, brush the brows up and tint only the hair!!
