Hair colour and pregnancy - what are the rules these days?

I am getting my hair cut and coloured today. I has been previously dyed a copper red with highlights at the front.

I am guessing that this is not possible now that I am pg? I am dark haired naturally (well amongst the grey!) so it means bleaching it lighter.

I have decided to go back to more of a natural dark brown, which I think is ok as it wont involve bleaching, but would really like some copper through the front...

Can you please guide me on what I can and cannot have done, my hair is looking awful and really needs some TLC so please dont say I have go to natural!!!

I would ask the hairdresser (or senior stylist/salon manager).
This link might help..

hmm I just spoke to my hairdresser, who happens to be the owner of the salon.

He said pretty much as that link said. Some women prefer not to do it due to chemicals being absorbed into the skin. He has dyed many heads with no problems but it is a personal choice that I have to make.

He suggested full head of highlights, but said this would not entirely cover my roots, as it does not touch the scalp, but could be a compromise for now.

So, I had my entire head dyed brown, with red/copper lights at the front, and it was all done with foils!!!

It means that right at my roots has not been dyed, but she went as close as she could without touching my scalp. It took a long time and she only charged for half a head of foils even though it took her hours (well not that long as the hair is short).
