Could you try some on at the opticians to get an idea of the style and colour that suit you? I don't think I would be brave enough to order glasses without trying them on first!

god no offence but that is such an obviously good idea I wonder why on earth I didnt think of it?

please blame the shooting pain in my eyes.

Thanks!

Gotta try em on!! Some are too narrow, even if shape is ok. For colour, go for similar to hair or big contrast.

but I wouldnt be trying on the exact same glasses I'd be ordering online... I'd just be trying on to get an idea for shape. online there would be a whole different selection. (continue to slap me about the face if necessary)

I love my sunglasses, they are tortoishell, they are very glam shape, like um... gosh. I cant think how to describe it. Have had them about 7 years, more a classic glam then a trendy glam. But dont know if that shape would suit normal glasses.

Actually I totally despise the idea of wearing glasses but contacts are brutally painful for me so there you go.

Please please tell me I will look divine in them. Lie to me.

You could note down the make and style and then search for them online. I have these in gunmetal that I bought at my opticians but I bet I could have got them cheaper online!

hereidrawtheline · 18/03/2009 18:54

yet another good idea

well I dont even know what the prices are at this opticians. They arent on their website. Its a small independent one. So who knows out of laziness I might just go through them but frugality tells me I should try to go cheap but gorgeous!

This site lets you upload a photo and 'try' the glasses on
