What is the absolute best control panel /corset./knickers on the market?

i am talking here control all the way up to underneath norkage and over bum please. I don't need it over hips as these are quite ok but stomach needs serious attnetion.

All those I have bought so far ( ranging up to about £20) seem to stop south of norkage and therefore ( sorry if tmi) just push the flab further up only for it to joyfully break free north of stomach!!!
What is the absolute gold standard in stomach control so that the whole lot disappears and one can wear a shift dress?

Spanx - marvellous things that come up to right under norks. They have different ones depending on if you want tummy or thigh control. Well worth the ££.

wilbur - and can you breathe once inside?

I once wore an M and S control thingy and wanted to be sure it really would control so bought a size too small. It nearly killed me in retrospect and I had stomach problems for days afterwards!

Another vote for Spanx pants. I have the ones that go all the way up to your norks (the top kind of tucks under your bra strap) and down to mid-thigh. I bought them to wear to a wedding so was in them from early afternoon until midnightish and they were fine - managed to eat, breathe etc also not as hot as I thought they might be (it was an August wedding). Only tricky aspect was weeing as the idea is you wee through a little hole in the gusset but I didn't trust my 'aim' (apologies if TMI) after a few drinks so I had to pretty much undress at each loo trip! Would still recommend though and I got a lot of compliments about looking trim (entirely down to the pants).

Don't be tempted to go a size smaller though as I think it affects the length and then they'd be rolling down ...

lisalisa - sorry only just saw your q. Yes, you can breathe - I know what you mean about the stomach pains if you buy too tight control knickers (gawd knows I've tried everything with occasionally unpleasant results). But Spanx seems to be an altogether more even pressure and I haven't had any probs with them. Do, as lolaladybird says, buy the right size and don't be tempted to go a size down thinking they'll make you even thinner.
