Capsule Wardrobe required for 5 day city break in NYC in May

Am short, quite slim but feeling frumpy. Will need to be comfortable & trendyish I guess.

Help please !

nautical is quite in, as are brights and neutrals, so whatever you're comfortable in. maybe go for white linen trousers with a nautical theme top like this and another one like this with red pumps or silver birkenstocks and then a pretty dress or tunic top for the evenings

thanks - liking the trousers very much, but in the navy as am thinking of dirty tubes etc, also the stripey top.

What sort of tunic top/dress though ? am quite clueless on capsule stylishness !

I'm that you're going to NYC. I plan to go with my sister for her 40th in 5 years.
Havent any advice regarding wardrobe as I too have no idea! Have a fun trip though!

Honestly - I would buy nothing new here and save your money for the fabulous shops over there. Plan your first day as a big shopping day and then you will be sorted!

We went at Easter 2 years ago and first thing we bought was umbrellas and we were freezing the whole time! Hopefully you have better luck with the weather in May!
