i dont want this to be a thread about the rightness, or wrongness about piercings. please.

i have decided to get dd's ears pierced. what should i be looking for? the thought of just walking up to the local saturday girl in claires accesories is stomach churning. is it better to go t o a piercings place? or is it better to get a qualified doctor to do it? what do i need to know about aftercare? what other questions do i need to ask?

Why won't you let your ds's have theirs done? I don't know how old they are but it's surely double standards to let one and not the rest...

My daughter had hers pierced with a gun & we have had no problems at all-were we just lucky?

They gave clear instructions re aftercare & a bottle of antiseptic to use.

At some point in the future I think she would like them done again,in which case we would go somewhere where needles are used as it would be higher up the lobe.

Hulababy-I assume that was with a gun?
