this is my dream dress that I cannot afford

I need a dress to attend an upmarket christening, and a black tie event (if can use dress for both, would be good)

It has to be fashionanble! It has to be less than £400 and I do like the 1 shoulder dresses. Colours, I don't know! Can one wear black to a christening?!! Length? Knee, on knee or short. Boobs? 30dd. Size 8-10. Babybelly? Yes, exists when sitting down

I was thinking this, but is it black-tie-worthy? Is it too A/W?

IME......if you have a larger budget and can afford something a little more unusual then go with it. We go to several swanky events a year and, personally, I would never wear high street to those events (and I'm generally a Top Shop & Toast kind of girl ). I once wore a Monsoon dress to an event which I thought was unusual enough that it would be left alone.......Nope! Walked in and a woman was wearing the same dress, sat on the next table and I was mortified.

The only time I will buy high street for an event now is if it is a classic LBD type dress that I can put my own stamp on with statement jewelry and other accessories.
