this one is very cheap at the moment from boots but it looks very bronze. What do you think? I dont want a horrible tide mark, I have fair skin & dark hair and green eyes. But dont mind adding colour just not so much I look unnatural!

Any other suggestions? I dont really want to spend more than £10 on it. Is that cheap, am I really very out of touch with these things?

I don't bother with tinted moisturiser, just add a touch of foundation/ bronzer to my usual SPF-containing moisturiser. Picked this tip up from a makeup artist and it works a treat.

Right well at the moment I dont have moisturiser either so would need to buy that anyway. And also I want to be able to carry it around in my handbag? Read that as a good tip from Ivy here to freshen up midday. How do you stir it properly? The bottles usually have tiny little openings.

Oooh!!! Thanks for the link!!! Thats exactly the one I use!!! Its fab

I have really pale skin, and I know what you mean about the colour in the tube but it really doesn't look like that when you put it on. It lasts for ages too...

(Off to Boots in the morning...)

are you sure? That's great! I think I am going to buy online with a couple of other things as I dont drive & its a hassle to get anywhere in the week.

I have arctic-white skin (am a ginger) and I use this No.7 tinted moisturiser every day. I love it. I've got it in Fair and it is very pale (much paler than it looks in the website). Not seen-a-ghost pale, just no-tidemark pale. Plus it's a bit light-reflecting and dewy-looking.

I like it cos it's foolproof. Slap it on and you're done.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 16/03/2009 19:59

I'm v pale atm and use Benefit You Rebel Lite.

I am not arctic pale anymore, wish I was! I used to be but I have gained a little colour gradually as I have got older. I am pale and dont tan but more an ivory colour. Its hard isnt it to try to choose without trying them in person. grrr

Boots are FAB about taking things back. Order a couple and then just return the ones that look shite. I recently returned two No 7 foundations that were WAY too dark - I just cleaned the ends of the tubes so they looked unused. Plus I cheekily kept the No 7 free gift that they'd qualified me for...

oh cool thank you!

I know it's a bit more expensive but Bobbi Brown does one called Tinted Balm or something and it's really moisturising and dewy and the palest shade really is very pale. I think it's about £30.
