never had perming done, but get eyelashes tinted every 4-6 weeks, i love it

Am blonde and have had my eyelashes dyed a lot over the years.

When I was a teen i did it with a home kit which always worked out fine and when older in the salon.

It is brilliant if you're fair as no need for mascara (and if you're like me and never bother with mascara anyway even more of a bonus!).

Had them permed once, think it was OK, but didn't take ver well. Didnt bother getting that done again.

Only thing is that for me in the salon it can sting quite a bit (I am quite sensitive ) and they insist on leaving it on for ages. If it does start stinging a lot just get them to take it off. not that I've ever had any problems with it, but they seem to want to leave it on for ages to make sure the dye "takes" but for me it "takes" really quickly.

Overall I'd reccomend the dye for sure.

Assume you're fair?

I know I am in danger of being extremely thick here.......but how on earth does one "perm" one's eyelashes??

They put perming solution stuff on and then get a little sticky tube and roll the lashes round it, thus putting a curl into the lashes. Exactly the same as hair only with teeny tiny rollers.

im a student beauty therapist so do both of these, u are supposed to have a ptach test done few days before tinting to make sure u dont have any allergies.
Perming is good if the therpaist uses the right size rod (sticky tube)
I had mine done the other day by a student and they did stay curled for about 3/4 weeks but she used too smaller rod so they were too curled over if u get me so they looked short rather then long and curled, if a larger rod is used though then the result can be brill!

I get them to double dye them..much better

BonsoirAnna · 16/03/2009 19:04

You can dye your eyelashes yourself at home and will get the "getting out of the swimming pool" effect you are after.

Oooh, im so tempted, but would probably end up selling my story to 'pick me up' knowing my luck ...
