Please help, what can I wear with this?

I'm absolutely useless so, what can I wear with this? It's a lovely colour but I need something to cover my arms (Spring's not quite here yet). What colour and style would go with it?

It's quite short so I'm going to wear it over jeans as a tunic and I'll probably add a belt.

TIA

I would get a little sknny cardi, either with 3/4 length sleeves or just push'em up a bit. H&M (in the teenage section!) had some nice little cardi's the other day, I bought one covered in stars which I love.

Actually looking at that dress again, the fabric is quite dressy. Would somthing in a cotton be better over jeans? That dress would look great with coloured tights and hels but not sure about that fabric over jeans, personally.

Thanks for this, like I said, I'm completely clueless stylewise so all advice welcome. I was going to wear it to a gig so would be dressed down with a pair of cons. Really don't have the legs for tights tho!

Any suggestions for what colour to wear with it?

I would go equally bright...very trendy at the moment! How about something clashy like orange?

stubbyfingers · 11/03/2009 08:13

OK, "Think clashy" will be my shopping mantra! Thanks mrsm. heading off to work now.

Or look for a pattern that has that lovely jade colour in...try top shop too they often have paterned cardi's, and New Look.

Have fun!

wear a long sleeved tshirt underneath, you'll be too hot and bulky in a cardie at a gig.

stubbyfingers · 11/03/2009 08:57

ooh, that's a good idea, thanks fishie!

i'd go for leggings under and nothing else at a gig, if you're planning on dancing at all.

Dancing eh? Interesting concept... Thanks everyone!
