Sports wear on 'Railway Walks'

Did anyone see 'Railway Walks' with Julia Bradbury last night on BBC2? I thought she looked really cool in her outdoor clothing. I do a lot of hiking but never look that good!

Did anyone recognise the brands? I tried to see the labels but couldn't. I especially liked the look of the red zipper top she had on - Adidas perhaps?

I didn't see Railway Walks, but I do like stylish sportswear. For outdoor sports I love Patagonia - pricey, but fab quality and performs really well. I have a base layer-ls vest-top which is 15 years old, must have had weekly use in that type and is not out of shape, faded, pilled or smelly!

In a similar vein, there is also Howies

and Embers Embers

For gym-mey type sports, I like Sweaty Betty and She Active.

Pearl Izumi make fab running and cycling kit, but it's difficult to get hold of.

HTH !!!

Thanks for the reply, BikeRunSki. I agree with you about the labels.

I love Patagonia too. I have a fleece which is over 20yrs old!! It was bought at a time when women didn't 'do' outdoors and there were very few labels specifically designed for women. The arms are too long and it is certainly not flattering! I wear it in the garden now.

I just thought that Julia Bradbury looked especially stylish in what she was wearing. I'd really like to know who made the red zipper top she had on underneath her waterproof!

Check out her website. Some from the programme and some from other activities/shows. See what I mean?!

Try Icebreaker - they make merino ski layers which are very similar to the pale blue half zip top she is wearing on some of those photos. I have a couple which I bought for skiing which are funky enough to wear with jeans and (naturally) for outdoor activities and which are toasty warm without any bulky fleece layers.

Thanks, TRMJS.

Unfortunately I have rather delicate skin [precious emoticon] and can't wear wool next to it. I love wool. I knit with it (for other people), love the smell of it and hover around the wool section in John Lewis when autumn comes [howsadami emoticon] Just a bloomin' shame I can't wear it!
