Help! Jeans/ Trousers to suit size 12 /14 hips and size 10 waist?

Just can't get trousers to fit. When I have jeans that fit my hips and wear them with a belt it is very gappy and lumpy at the top.
Any ideas?

yup that's me too. I have a good waist, bigger thighs/hips. I think the trick is not to wear those low waisted jeans. Actually, my dh says jeans look terrible on me but what does he know????

The only ones that fit me are:

Gap
and another brand called 'Almost Famous' which are really expensive but higher in the waist so look quite good. I haven't tried the M&S ones ...they are recommended on here.

Thanks for the tips - anyone else?

I am like that too and have got some Hula jeans from New Look which seem to be all right.

I recently bought Scarlet jeans from Oasis (bootleg, not too low-slung, and stretchy).

That's me too but I don't know where to get them from either. GAP flare and boyfriend jeans used to be OK but they don't do those any more. I would try White Stuff, I have almost bought their jeans a couple of times. My sister is a similar shape and has a great pair from Monsoon but they don't always do jeans.

Gap now do another boyfriend style. I got a pair in mcr a week ago, dark denim with stretch. I love them! On special offer too. I have a smaller waist and size 12/14 hips. Only thing is, they 'give' after wearing and I might still need a belt!
Other than that, I tend to wear River Island slouchy jeans - rather low sometimes but they do great styles.

that's me too but although I have some boyfriend jeans from White Stuff which fit fine I've also got some bootleg cords which virtually flap round the top of my hips = they're just too low-waisted and constantly fall down which is a shame as they're perfect on my legs

gap long and lean used to be not too bad although still a bit too low-waisted but they've changed the cut and the current ones don't do anything for me

mimsmum I'm glad it wasn't just me with the gap long and lean - I used to buy those, but the new ones are not right at all!
I was going to try the new White Stuff ones, the loose fit/boyfriend ones.
