the perfect holiday bag

Right, well we are off to Florida in a few weeks and I want to keep my packing to a minimum - I am the worlds worst for taking 2000 items away and wearing 2 of them!

I need a good handbag which will survice me round the parks with the kids (room for suncream, drinks, change of pants, possibly a small towel) but I also need to be able to take it out in the evenings when we go for dinner.

Can anyone find me the perfect holiday bag?

Personally I would have 2 separate bags. One rucksack to wear around the theme parks and load up with all your essentials. Then I would have a handbag for the evening which would be considerably smaller as you wouldn't need to load it up with suncream, towels etc.

I also would suggest your DH/DP takes a rucksack too. Then you can both share the load of having to take bottles of water, snacks, suncreams etc. Otherwise you will resent becoming a camel for a fortnight.

I found the perfect bag for this last year. It was a straw bag type thing with a zip. Was great for beach during the day and carrying nappies and toys at night going out. It was gold/bronze colour so was nice. My sister gave it to me. Will see if I can find out where it came from

I was planning to take 2 bag (or more) but I really want to reduce my packing to a minimum and it's a good excuse to buy a new bag :-D

I was thinking about a funky shopper type bag?!?!

Get a plain practical rucksack because then you won't be the only one prepared to carry it.
