Do you know of anywhere that 'swaps' clothes?

I'm due to give birth in 2 weeks, and have expanded from a lovely toned size 12/14 to about an 18 maternity, if not bigger

I'm relatively confident (ish) that I'll manage to lose it mostly eventually, but am hoping to go on holiday middle/ end of June time and am worrying about clothes already! Am hoping to be down to a size 16 by then, which seems a fair estimate.

My issue is that I don't want to spend loads of money on clothes that I hope to not fit into again for a while. Plus I have a huge pile of absolutely beautiful, worn once or twice summer clothes that I bought last year for huge blowout holiday to Mauritius, most of them from Monsoon etc which cost a bomb.

I know it's a long shot, but do any of you know of anywhere that does bundle 'swaps' of clothes at all for different sizes? Perhaps attached to a slimming club or something? I really can't be bothered to ebay them, and don't want to have to go out shopping for anything ideally. Plus very cheap 'bottoms' (which is all I would want to spend) don't tend to fit me very well as I'm 5'9.

Any ideas?! TIA!

You could try doing a search on Google for a local "Swish Party" or "Swishing" as it's sometimes called or maybe arrange one of your own.

Or there might me some Mumsnetters that are in the same boat as you and would be happy to swap a bundle of clothes. You could put some photos on your profile and see if anyone is interested. Slightly less hassle than Ebay.

go to the for sale section here on mn. Lots of mner's selling/buying various items of clothing, different sizes.

I have sold quite a bit of my wardrobe this way having been a size 18/20 after having ds .
I have now lost 3 stone almost 2 years after having ds so no longer needed the stuff I had..also wanted pennies to buy more .

Good luck with selling stuff and with the birth..
