Sandals with a filled in heel

Afraid I have a bit of a challenge for you all. Am trying to smarten myself up a bit, which includes buying a few pairs of new sandals. However, because of knee problems I need to wear orthotics (i.e. inserts) in my every-day shoes which require a filled in heel to keep them in place (i.e. not a strap or backless). This is proving a bit of a challenge. I've found these www.clarks.co.uk/find/Department-is-women/Colour-is-blue/product-is-20324636
which may work but are rather less stylish than I hoped and won't work with a skirt (also only start at size 4 so may be too big). Does anyone have any ideas. I'm not keen on the gladiator ones as feel I'm a bit old for the Ben Hur look. I can't wear ballet pumps either unfortunately unless they have a strap over the arch.
Many thanks

I will watch with interest because of similar problem! Although for work last year I just wore shoes. I might try the 'velcro on the bottom' option in sandals for weekends though - I am told this works quite well!

Not sure it would work with the type of othrotic I have which isn't flat at the bottom - will look into it though.
