Is this too much (little) for a wedding?

Have tried on this a while back, looked nice.

2 wedings coming up - 1 is aunt, hotel afternoon ceremony th buffet/disco, the other is at a country house, ceremony meal then night time.

I was about to order it but think it might be a bit much -as in not enough IYKWIM, is t a bit night out as opposed to wedding?

Personally - and a guru I am not - I think it's fine, but I'd wear a cardi or wrap or at least a shrug for the ceremonies.

Stretch · 04/03/2009 08:36

It's lovely! Agree with Tigerschick, wear a wrap for day.

BonsoirAnna · 04/03/2009 08:43

If you have two Spring weddings coming up, I would buy something a bit more Springlike/colourful.

Bright colour is in for SS09.

Agree- I don't think halter necks are suitable for a wedding- they might seem okay to some, but others might think they are too informal and show a bit too much flesh.

There are lots of similar things around- Monsson have a lovely smartish, sleeveless black-cream dress in a silky-satin material at the moment which looks classy- sorry, can't do the links!

geordieminx · 04/03/2009 08:48

What colout shrug/wrap? Would black to be too funerally? Would cream be a bit bridal?

I think it is perfect. Reckon a creamy coloured little cardigan, maybe with pretty buttons. Def not bridal as the rest of it is darker. Or would a pink go??

nailpolish · 04/03/2009 09:22

that dress is not very springlike
esp with a cardi
get something more cheerful

geordieminx · 04/03/2009 09:25

nail the style queen has spoken.... I shall look for something brighter... both weddings are in June so something summery is definately in order!

geordie have just had a peep at your profle - you ar gorgeous girl!

you woul suit loads of styles - and ia think halterneck is fine for weddings but in a more summery colour/style, witjh sandals

nailpolish · 04/03/2009 10:04

great colour

nailpolish · 04/03/2009 10:04

hlaterneck

geordieminx · 04/03/2009 10:05

Ooooh how we laughed - I'm looking just gorgeous at the moment in pjs over-sized dressing gown and severebed head , but thank you - I was having a crappy day and you have cheered me up!

I think I will look for something colourful - I always wear black - it'll be nice to get something bright - pink or purple perhaps, the good thing is its completley different people at each wedding so can spend more money on 1 outfit!

if you are set on black and white this is more summery

i can see why you like black and white though i can imagine you would suit it

nailpolish · 04/03/2009 10:07

i have the same colouring as you and i like black and white too

dont fotget the st tropez! (wouldnt be a wegian wedding without it )

geordieminx · 04/03/2009 10:07

I looked at the brown one earlier - I really like it, although the fuschia one is scrummy too - a bit more unusual, for me anyway

I think I need to take you onto Buchannan Street one Saturday!
