Okay I give up!!

I've finally decided to wear a red and white floral dress to my sister's wedding in Cyprus in May. It's sleeveless, knee length, fullish skirt with a v-shaped neckline.

That's as far as I've got. I don't know what shoes to get (although I know want sandals, mid-high heel. Got to be comfortable.). Or accessories, if any.

Please help me, stylish laydeez!!! Otherwise I'll end up wearing something naff/inappropriate and I'd like to look 'together'. And sort of smart.

are these too informal?

compo · 02/03/2009 16:45

or something like this but in red

I like this sort of necklace with a v neck

Thanks compo. I don't know about the wedges- I like them (although I don't think the red will match as the red on the dress is quite bright) but would they look too informal? I've seen the pink shoes too and I think the heel will be too narrow for camfort (it's a whole day, from lunchtime). Love the necklace though. But again, wrong red? I don't know if it's ok to mix shades of red? Blimey I'm useless.

I love the 1st pair of shoes..wedges are not informal imo and are so comfy, ideal for a wedding..Chances are it will be warm/hot at the wedding so the shoes are ideal....

btw,I have worn wedges to weddings before...

I like the wedges and was just about to suggest something similar. If you cant "match" the red, you could play around with clashing or contrasting accessories: apple green would be fun, especially if there are any leafy sprigs within the floral pattern on the dress. Or royal blue.

yup I would play safe and get a contrasting coloured wedge like janeite suggested and matching bag.
New Look has masses of them on their website.

Or be very boring safe and go tan

Have you decided? I have been thinking about wedges longingly!
