depends what you work as......

FeelingLucky · 01/03/2009 20:02

waitress?

cherryblossoms · 01/03/2009 20:05

I like that but I suspect it might not quite have the [ahem] "engineering" for those, such as myself, who have a slightly less toned physique. Those of us with lumpy bits might have to try it on first.

Nice though. I tried on something a bit similar in Gap a couple of months ago. Actually, I'm tempted to hunt it down and try it on myself.

Ronaldinhio · 01/03/2009 20:06

I wish, feeling lucky.

I like it because I feel that it can be dressed up further by good jacket, tights heels or down by coloured opaques etc

Serious job..serious dress

its navy though, nothing goes with navy apart from navy!

Babbity · 01/03/2009 20:09

It does nothing for her, tbh, and she's a leggy model. I can't imagine it'll look anything but frumpy on lesser mortals.

Ronaldinhio · 01/03/2009 20:11

I wear loads of navy...I must be showing my lack of stylishness..they also do it in black

I can see where you are coming from with this......a pretty basic, straightforward dress that you can change the look of with accessories. But I wonder if its a bit boring even for a "workaday dress"?

I wear loads of navy too. It goes with deep pink, red, white, cream, beige (hate that word but camel sounds a tad pretentious!). Gold or silver also lift navy beautifully (whether thats with jewellery or shoes/bags).

AnyFucker · 01/03/2009 20:23

nancy, lots goes with navy

It is a serious office dress, doesn't look comfy though

it wouldn't work for many other jobs though

Ronaldinhio · 01/03/2009 20:32

Anyfucker I am very serious doncha know!!

DrewPWiener · 01/03/2009 20:35

I liek that dress a lot, the seams are in the right place, and navy far more forgiving than black

jojosmaman · 01/03/2009 20:35

Navy goes lovely with stone and taupe as well. I love navy and think I may wear a lot more of it for summer 09

FeelingLucky · 01/03/2009 20:36

chocolate brown goes lovely with navy

AnyFucker · 01/03/2009 21:00

and I am not-very-serious

kikidee · 01/03/2009 21:29

I have that dress in black! I wore it to work on Friday for the first time with a black polo neck underneath it, black opaques, black patent mary janes and longish beads with crystals/grey/black colours. I felt really nice in it - it's kind of tunicy on and very very easy to wear.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 01/03/2009 21:32

I like the idea of a tunicy dress over a polo with black tights and boots, but not sure about those sleeves with that kind of thing. And on its own, I do think it's a bit boring. Sorry.

Ronaldinhio · 01/03/2009 22:02

nah, the tunic polo is just too star trek for words and not the look I'm going for
sorry

OP posts:
ja9 · 01/03/2009 22:07

i have it in black also...

it's my funeral dress

kikidee · 01/03/2009 22:22

!!! Had no idea i was "too Star Trek for words" - am trying not to let you put me off it.....

mrsmike · 01/03/2009 22:41

Kikidee is it a soft comfy dress? Or structured and not so comfy? Do like the look of it.

Ronaldinhio · 01/03/2009 22:58

no offence meant kiki...the other type of tunic..I meant
soz!

OP posts:
kikidee · 02/03/2009 17:21

MrsMike, it is soft stretchy jersey - fittedish round the neck and bust and then flares out gently - nice handy pockets too. Get it!

Sorry Ronaldinhio - I'm overly sensitive about it!
