To anyone who likes Zara trousers but find them too long - just received my altered Zara jeans and they are AMAZING

I am a fan on Zara trousers because I have long legs. But, I tried a pair of jeans and they were perfect but also too long . But then the nice assistant said they offer a alteration service at all Zara stores and for £6 I can have them professionally taken up.

I was dubious because of the whole bottom of jeans never looking the same after being taken up, but they have kind of done a pleat near the hem (invisible) so the bottom of the jeans is still the same bottom of jeans if you see what I mean.

Anyway, I did not know about this alteration service, and usually see Zara bottoms getting slated on here because they are too long, so now you can all happily shop there and take advantage of the alterations service!

Oh and the jeans are stunning. They are a gorgeous blue with just a hint of fading, and have a super-narrow bootcut, and just gently hug the hips, thighs and knees. (they look super-expensive, and fit better than my much-loved seven jeans)

Do they have a name? Or a style number? They sound fab and exactly like what I'm looking for

Jeans sound fab

I have had several items (dresses, trousers and tops) altered through Zara and have always received great results and service.

WHy dont they just make them the right length?
ponces
as if spanish girls are known for their height.

KristinaM · 04/03/2009 09:25

yes more details please

how long are your legs jewels? [kristina calculates whether she will need to use service or can just buy scrummy jeans]

Jewelsandgems · 04/03/2009 19:18

Firstly, castille the name is
Zara Women Premium Collection Aged Denim (this is on the label at back of jeans, and on tags)

And KristinaM I asked them that same question, and they said jeans/trousers can always be taken up, but if they are too short, you cannot grow them! Their philosophy is get the perfect fit, then get em made to measure on the length.

I had mine taken up to be a 34 inch leg (they were a 36 inch) and honastly, for £39 they are really good. I find my jeans usually fit really well on arse and thights, but hardly ever slim on the knee too, but these are lovely. They look fantastic with heels (because of very narrow bootcut) but equally well with more casual footwear.

I know I am raving about these jeans, but I have never found any as nice as these!
