I hate black mascara, it always looks obvious and too harsh on me.....

Must be non-clumpy and subtle. Preferably with a longer handled brush. Ideally a curling one. Budget of £10 or less.

Avon do them here.

NomDePlume · 14/04/2005 12:09

Is it any good though ? Don't really want to be wasting yet more money, even if it is only £3

If you are not satisfied with any of your purchases for whatever reason, simply return them and they'll give you a replacement or your money back.

Lash discovery I think its maybelline was about six pounds and looks natural in brown.

I use it for work for a natural look with a slick of lip gloss.

NomDePlume · 14/04/2005 12:49

Thanks, any more ?

I like rimmel exaggerate. I use the black 1 but they do it in brown - £1.99 on ebay. And I think its 10 times better than the very expensive max factor stuff I had last time

lou33 · 14/04/2005 13:45

avon

JoolsToo · 14/04/2005 13:47

another vote for Rimmel exaggerate

favourite dearer one is Estee Lauder MagnaScopic

NomDePlume · 14/04/2005 13:47

Avon, really. I just have this image of Avon being a bit....um....old-ladyish

brown-black is good colour NDP - I use it

auntymonkey · 14/04/2005 13:48

Boots No 7 Full Impact in Brown Black or Ruby & Millie from Boots in same colour

lou33 · 14/04/2005 13:50

no honest i have quite a bit of their stuff. Delivery is a bit slow and costs 2.50, so you need to order a few bits, but its' good stuff on the whole.

nailpolish · 14/04/2005 13:50

hooray! a thread about make up

rimmel is easily my fave budget

no 7 also but i dont know how much they are

and chanel mascara is my fave for xmas lists from dh

has anyone tried the new eyegloss thingys? im worried my eyelids stick together

ps ndp, im trying hard not to hijack

NomDePlume · 14/04/2005 13:51

I know we have local Avon-caliing type woman, so will try and track her down. If I do it that way I assume I'll avoid the £2.50 delivery ?

avon is old lady IMO

how can you order something like make up from a catalogue? i need to see it in RL

nailpolish · 14/04/2005 14:11

killed another thread

sorry ndp

lou33 · 14/04/2005 14:13

ah shaddap np. They let you return it, and i am recommending it anyway so it has to be ok

NdeP you can order it online as well

dyzzidi · 14/04/2005 14:14

I never order from avon not quite sure why???

A friend has bought shower stuff which is great but I'm a bit of a beauty junkie who has to leave boots with stripes of colour on her hands to feel fulfilled!

And quite sad but almost never miss clinique bonus times!

nailpolish · 14/04/2005 14:16

fine!

im away to make soup

Franch swears by More Lashes, which I might give a go to.

NomDePlume · 15/04/2005 11:48

I'm going into town when DD wakes up so any more recommendations ?

I had a maybeline one a while ago which was great, but they stopped doing it . It was brown AND curling AND waterproof.....

lou33 · 15/04/2005 12:28

NomDePlume · 15/04/2005 12:29
