What's wrong with it. I had a long floaty skirt with exactly that print on it when I was about 12 and I lived in it. i loved it.

buntycupcaketastic, with a wee bit of 70's hippy thrown in on the strap.

Blerg.

I saw a woman with this the other day.
I was
I can only afford the Cath Kidson for Tesco bags

angelene · 26/02/2009 16:34

I have this in a brown print in a different shaped bag. I like it - it was £40 which is good for a bag, it isn't leather but is a plasticised canvas which I was a bit wary of but actually is far more practical as all my bags get kicked around. I am extremely far away from chintzy, I like plain colours or graphic patterns and I wouldn't have gone for it normally, but I absolutely couldn't find a decent bag for under £100 in Selfridges (I had a voucher) that worked for work and home, and this does the job for me. My extremely fashion-forward stylist sister recommended CK to me and I'm glad she did.

So YAH BOO SUCKS to the lot of you!!

FriarKewcumber · 26/02/2009 16:35

is there room in unpopular corner for me?

Marthasmama · 26/02/2009 16:56

What's wrong with wanting a little bit of lovely kitsch to brighten one's day? And as for price, at least the OP isn't proposing to spend £100s on a boring black Prada bag. Oh how dull..... .

CharleeInChains · 26/02/2009 17:09

I really love it!

But don't listen to me i also love Leopard Print in vast quantities.

poshsinglemum · 27/02/2009 21:31

I like but wear with jeans, plain top and tough looking shoes/boots to avoid the wi look.

plantsitter · 27/02/2009 21:56

But it's made of oilcloth. So one day a pen will leak inside it and you'll end up with a streaky black/blue oilcloth bag with brown leather buckles that you paid 70 quid for. Don't do it!

dustbuster · 27/02/2009 22:01

Much prefer the boaty one. It is a leeetle "Padstow" but you could definitely get away with it if the rest of your look wasn't too Johnnie B.

chevre · 28/06/2009 18:36

whhoo hooo, i bought the bag [strokes]

madameovary · 28/06/2009 18:57

Utility bags should be plain.
Most hideous thing I have seen for a long time, excepting the display of fluoro kidswear in the local Happit window...

chevre · 28/06/2009 19:07

nope tis lovely you are sooo wrong. what is happit?

madameovary · 28/06/2009 19:11

Chevre- Happit is a place where crap clothes go to die. If you have never seen one think yourself lucky.

jemart · 28/06/2009 21:20

Its nice actually, but it would only suit casual clothes and you might get bored of the print quite quickly.
Save up your money and get something nice from Mulberry, I believe they have a sale on at the moment.
