Do blondes suit yellow???

Question for you - do blondes suit the colour yellow??? Have seen a nice pale yellow cardi & cannot decide if its a good colour on me - a natural (slightly chemically enhanced with highlights tho) ash blonde.

Am quite pale but do tan and would wear a white t shirt underneath it.

Whats the style wisdom on this issue????

great links samsonara

pointydog · 25/02/2009 21:22

just because yellow is in season doesn't make it any more attractive

PillicockSatOnPillicockHill · 25/02/2009 21:23

yes it does!!

Jumpsuits and hammer pants would NEVER be worn but for fashion

ABetaDad · 25/02/2009 21:28

Brunettes with olive skin with yellow.

Possibly a lemon for blonde?

Yellow is a hideous colour.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

samsonara · 25/02/2009 23:14

thanks Pillicock, I'm impressed you have yellow shoes , was looking at hobbs online earlier, they have a few yellow things, like the wrap blouse, yellow dress and jacket but haven't seen much yellow about. I read somewhere that thanks to Michelle Obama's jacket, yellow is the colour of hope and regeneration, so I expect there will be alot more yellow in the shops next season, quite like this wrap blouse but not sure about sheen and yellow, that seems a bit too much!here

Ronaldinhio · 25/02/2009 23:22

pale yellow
no no no

but there again who does...?

Coldtits · 25/02/2009 23:26

I think the only adults who suit yellow are dark skinned, sorry

RipMacWinkle · 26/02/2009 08:52

To be honest, I thought the same as everyone else. I am very pale Celtic skinned, fair haired and when I had my colours done last year I was a spring. One of the colours they rec'd was a corn yellow.

I bought a top in this colour and you know, I think it does suit me? But I never would have considered it before.

Just my tuppence worth

carrielou2007 · 26/02/2009 15:29

Did anyone see Penny Smith this morning on GMTV? She was wearing a bright yellow jacket and it looked awful! Ok she's not a natural blonde but she looked very washed out.

Even if you do find a shade to suit why on earth would you want to wear yellow??!!

PillicockSatOnPillicockHill · 26/02/2009 20:51

its vibrant and sunny and fun

bet Carrie wears it on SATC!

AnyFucker · 26/02/2009 22:23

it is silly

PillicockSatOnPillicockHill · 26/02/2009 23:13

and what's wrong with that

silly is good

Dalrymps · 26/02/2009 23:18

It suits some blondes, definately. I can wear a certian shade of yellow very well

There's a pic of me on the beach with ds wearing said shade on my profile...

bootlegger · 26/02/2009 23:35

If your teeth are anything less than retina burning white - forget it.
Dress matching molars - not a good look.

Dalrymps · 27/02/2009 00:08

bootlegger - pmsl at 'dress matchin molars'

AnyFucker · 27/02/2009 07:13

dal, the top is ok

now, the footwear.......that is another thing!

Dalrymps · 27/02/2009 09:30

Lol, I see what your getting at... I am against them in theory but they only cost £2.99 and I am using them for intended purpose so I think it's just about acceptable

kettlechip · 27/02/2009 11:07

I have assisted ash blonde hair and sometimes wear a very pale yellow jumper with dark blue jeans and a contrasting scarf and I think that looks ok.. haven't had any looks anyway.
Each to their own, not a fan of bright yellow but if you like it, wear it!

AnyFucker · 27/02/2009 18:57

no offence dal

PillicockSatOnPillicockHill · 27/02/2009 21:21

luckily my teeth are extra ordinarily whit e - had t go to a lab to have my crowns matched so that makes the shoes ok
