Key looks for SS09

I have got a child free shopping day, my last before I go back to work on Monday. I am going to try on LOADS of clothes and see what suits me but what do you think are the best outfits for SS09?

I wear uniform to work so it is for day to day stuff ( I don't go out very often!)

Why don't you look at Style.com - more precisely, at the SS09 designer collections - and see what inspires you and would suit your look, lifestyle and body shape? And then use those ideas for putting a look together from the high street and internet shopping?

aren't we meant to be wearing jump suits and harem pants? oh and trousers which are a bit too short but not quite cropped. no idea re top half (apart from boiler suit thing).

Mithered · 25/02/2009 08:35

oh god not harem pants and jumpsuits - I did those first time round - and badly!
Thanks BA I will look later but was hoping for quick ideas! I think I will try things on today and get some ideas then can do internet shopping (stress free) when have taken stock.

That sounds very sensible btw but I suspect I will do what I always do and impulse buy loads of cheap shite then stick in my wardrobe hating it everytime I look in!

well of course you should be going for style (and therefore longevity) over trend.

All the major designers reverted to their strengths for the Spring shows (I wasn't there......I read it in Vogue). And therefore it is decreed that thy shalt only purchase long term classic loves rather than "fashion" items. Tis the new frugal........except the new frugal at Chanel prices as opposed to H&M

Seriously.....go with what you love and what suits you colour and shape-wise. Add to those main items a few "fashion moments" (accessories are a brilliant way to do this) and you'll be sorted.

Have fun shopping!
