I really like a blue patent handbag ... but would it be a silly buy when I have a black winter coat?

I returned my christmas present as the handbag was faulty and have been looking for an alternative. I quite like the look of a blue patent bag on M&S ... but is navy blue only really suitable for summer rather than with a black winter coat etc?

Personally, I don't think it matters with a bag like this - it's not meant to match an outfit, I would say: it's a statement bag as much as an accessory. So if you like it, buy it!

But I'm sure some more stylish MNers will be along to tell you what to do!

hmmm not sure that one is my colour! My current bag is a purple leather one from boden sale last year and I love it but dp bought me an Autograph bag at Christmas and the bloody pony skin rubbed off it making it bald!

I think the navy one is fine for both summer and winter.Worn with black coat and navy/pink scarf.You're good to go girl!!

Its a lot cheaper than my other bag so I could afford the new scarf to go with it!

I wanted the black patent boden bag from the sale but got there tooooo late! I need a big bag as carry loads of rubbish to and from work.

I saw it in my local store the other day and went back twice to see it .. thats usually a good sign! Ive always thought that blue and black were pretty much no go's though .. other than denim obviously!
