how delapidated do your clothes get before you throw out?

my fave jeans are falling apart! I cant sew, so when do i call it a day & turf em out??

how bad do they have to be?

I don't know if you'll see this, Trigger. Could someone patch them for you?

I patch all my jeans, they all have/had holes in the knees, so now they have patchs. I use things like pretty bits of baby clothes for the patches. I finally bit the bullet & made a pair of trousers into cutoff shorts (cutoffs useful as baby wipes) that I had previously patched at least 4 times.

Most of my trousers are ok (not stained, just normal jean wear), except the knees go from all the kneeling I do with kids.

I hate shopping, though, & wasting anything that might still be usefl. I would recycle textiles rather than throw anything away.

At least if we ever have a Norfolk meetup we'll recognise each other.

you can get away with jeans falling apart, after all they sell them like that.
