Is there any way of making shoes smaller?

I've seen a lovely pair of shoes in the sale, sadly, they don't have my size . Is it possible to make them smaller if I took them to a cobbler?

TIA

insoles?

No, they are very dainty slip ons so it wouldn't work.

I need to make the shoes smaller, not my feet!

www.zapatosdesignershoes.co.uk/bydesigner.asp?designerid=0 here, right hand side, thirteenth down, the green ones. I've been lusting after these for years! They are lovely, reduced to £60 in a local shop . They just don't have my size. I know I shouldn't

Stuff the toes with tissues?

scrooged · 18/02/2009 21:38

That would be really uncomfortable. I'm a size 4, a size 7 shoe full of tissue would look odd.

Oh that is quite a big difference. I just do not thnk it is possible. The entire shoe would have to be remade and would cost a fortune.

Can I just get a cobbler to ermm...um... take the heal off, take some off the back and pop the heal back on????

even if it could be done....reducing a size 7 shoe to a 4 would just look weird wouldnt it...the dimensions would be all wrong

scrooged - are you mad! i though you meant by half a size or something (you could have altered the strap at the back) if you get shoes 3 sizes too big they will look like clown shoes!

scrooged · 18/02/2009 21:43

Yes, I know, that's why I want to see if I can get them made smaller!!! They are sooo lurvely!!! Would look so fab with a dress I have, green silk with embroidered flowers in gold and silver on the bottom.

So there's no hope then?
